Description

This course underscores the importance of understanding the diversity of First Nations cultures and contemporary issues. It provides an overview of emergency management in Ontario including the systems and processes for preventing, mitigating, preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergencies and disasters.  You will learn about the key provisions of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act in addition to discussing the importance of personal preparedness.
